Over the past month, the “Revolutionary Communist Party” (RCP) launched a massive nationwide propaganda campaign maligning the People’s Republic of China as “revisionist” and under the leadership of “bloated toads.” The RCP campaign in fact signals the RCP’s own degeneration into complete revisionism and departure to the side of counter-revolution.
The RCP is engaged in a frenzied anti-China and anti-Marxist campaign. The RCP has recently done such things as:
– issued tens of thousands of leaflets nationally attacking China and proclaiming the RCP’s support for the revisionist “gang of four” which was overthrown in China;
– started a fight at a program in San Diego sponsored by the U.S.-China People’s Friendship Association;
– spray-painted profanities in Atlanta about the Chinese leadership; and
– paid tens of thousands of dollars to purchase full billboard advertising space in Berkeley and San Francisco to announce the RCP’s so-called events to “commemorate” the anniversary of Chairman Mao’s death. These events are only a pretext for the RCP’s anti-China campaign and distortion of Chairman Mao’s teachings.
All of these activities have been part of a build-up for the RCP’s Chairman Mao “memorial” events.
The RCP’s current pretended support for Chairman Mao is purely hypocritical and self-serving, for when Chairman Mao was alive, the RCP opposed campaigns to learn from Chairman Mao. In reality, for a long time, the RCP had major differences with China and with Chairman Mao, but did not openly put them forth in the past.
The RCP, for instance, opposed the Communist Party of China’s view of the international situation and the three worlds theory developed by Chairman Mao. Now that Chairman Mao has passed away, the RCP is jumping out to slander Hua Kuo-feng and the Chinese Communist Party, who are carrying out Chairman Mao’s revolutionary line – but the RCP is doing this all of a sudden as self-proclaimed “defenders” of Chairman Mao. What a hypocritical gang of hucksters!
After the death of every great revolutionary leader, pretenders come out to try to usurp the mantle of the deceased. The revisionist “gang of four” attempted to do this in China, following Chairman Mao’s death, but Hua Kuo-feng led the Communist Party to frustrate this attempt. The defeat of the “gang” made it possible for the Chinese people to continue along the path charted by Chairman Mao. Since the fall of the “gang” two years ago, the Chinese people have made important strides in building socialism, setting before themselves the challenge of becoming a modern, powerful socialist country by the turn of the century.
The People’s Republic of China is a great socialist country, and the Communist Party of China is an outstanding Marxist-Leninist party. No amount of noise made by the RCP can deny these facts and distort the achievements of the Chinese people.
